Abstract:
Have human rights become something which conservatives love to hate? Are we in the midst of some kind of backlash against human rights? This article considers these questions, and argues that, if indeed a backlash against human rights is underway, those seeking to challenge it will need to do more than simply reassert the value and significance of human rights. They will need to examine the conditions in which that backlash has arisen.
