Examining violence against health care from a gender perspective : study on access to health care during armed conflict and other emergencies / Swedish Red Cross
Violence against health care has emerged as a major humanitarian challenge, with wide-reaching consequences for sick and wounded men, women, girls and boys who are entitled to health care under International Humantiarian Law. This study was conceived as a first in filling the knowledge gap of the interplay between gender and access to health within a context of violence against health care. The study endeavours to contribute to a more nuanced understanding of the issues with an aim to inform more practical, applicable and appropriate measures on the ground.
